Stretched
As I write this, I am on mission in Chicago with Calhoun Christian School from Battle Creek MI. The team from CCS hit the ground running yesterday with a Homeless outreach ministry in an area of Chicago called uptown. Seeing the students and their leaders engaging with the people of Chicago in the streets was truly amazing. They started off a little trepidatious, but they quickly opened up to the Holy Spirit and started talking to every person we came across.
We saw people become saved for the first time, we saw people rededicate their lives to the Lord, we saw miraculous healing! It was a truly humbling experience to watch these high school students open their hearts to people they had been afraid of only days ago. When we step out of our comfort zone, we can see God doing miracles through us. You don’t have to have all the right words to say, you don’t have to have answers to all of the questions. You just have to say, “Here I am, send me.”
When you show up, God can show off!
